Virtual ‘Innovation Office Hours’ slated next month by national bank regulator

A virtual Innovation Office Hours event, in which participants will be able to meet one-on-one with agency representatives on innovation in banking, will be hosted March 16-17 by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the agency said Thursday.

The OCC describes its Innovation Office Hours as an opportunity “to discuss financial technology (fintech), new products or services, partnering with a bank or fintech company, or other matters related to responsible innovation in financial services.” Each meeting will last no longer than one hour, it said.

Those interested in the March 16-17 availability should make their requests by Feb. 18 and provide information on the topics they wish to discuss with the OCC Office of Innovation, the agency said. Requests should be submitted online here. The OCC said specific meeting times and arrangements will be determined after the OCC receives and accepts the request.

Another Innovation Office Hours will be scheduled for the second quarter of 2022, it said.
