FDIC releases third-quarter state profiles of banking, economic trends

State-by-state profiles on economic and banking conditions were released Monday by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), formatted as a quarterly data sheet summation of economic and banking conditions for all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

The Third Quarter 2019 FDIC State Profiles provide summaries of banking trends, including asset quality, capital/earnings, liquidity/sensitivity, and loan concentrations; as well as economic data, including employment growth rates and other indicators (single-family home permits, multifamily building permits, the home price index from one year ago, and nonbusiness bankruptcy filings per 1,000 people). The profiles also give summary information on the largest deposit markets in those states or U.S. territories.

The FDIC last month also released aggregate financials for federally insured banks through its Quarterly Banking Profile.
