Seventy-nine banks – many of them in Texas – will face exams for anti-redlining rules compliance in the fourth quarter of this year, and the first quarter of next year, the national bank regulator said Monday.
In releasing its fourth quarter schedule for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) exams, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said 15 banks in Texas are on the schedule. Other states with five or more banks up for examination are New York (seven exams scheduled), Ohio (7), Kansas (6) and Georgia (5). The other 23 states all count three or less banks up for CRA exams, the OCC said.
Most of the 79 banks will face their CRA exams in the first quarter of 2027 (January through March), with 45 set scheduled. The 34 others will be examined October through November; no exams are set for December, according to the OCC.
