Fed makes public two consents to prohibitions, both for misappropriation of customer funds

Two more former bank workers have consented to prohibition orders, both for misappropriation of customer funds, the Federal Reserve said Thursday.

The one of the prohibitions is for a former employee at Regions Bank, adding to the at least four other employees of the banking company who have also been prohibited since early this year.

The Fed alleged that Stephanie R. Kilbert, a former relationship banker at the Smyrna, Ga., branch of Regions Bank (headquartered in Birmingham, Ala.), from April 1 through Nov. 4, 2024, misappropriated $23,902 from a bank customer’s account.

That makes Kilbert the fifth former worker at the bank this year to be prohibited from future service in the banking industry, although at different locations or branches of the bank. Other prohibitions of the bank’s workers were made public on Aug. 13, July 30, March 20 and Feb. 12.

Also, the Fed alleged, Crystal A. Wykle, a former teller at United Community Bank in Greenville, S.C. misappropriated $26,917 from a customer’s business accounts by skimming cash from bulk cash deposits and placing the funds in her own savings account in the period of February to July 2024. She pleaded guilty to larceny in July 2025, the agency said.
