The second federal credit union chartered in 2025 was involuntarily liquidated Thursday by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
The agency said it was liquidating African Diaspora Federal Credit Union of Saint Ann, Mo., after finding it was “insolvent and in violation of numerous provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act and NCUA Regulations, including operating in an unsafe and unsound manner.”
Chartered May 15, 2025, African Diaspora FCU served members of the African Disapora Council, Inc., NCUA data shows. The agency said the credit union had 183 members and $547,479 in assets as of its most recent call report (for the quarter ending this June 30).
