NCUA slates June 24 open board meeting

The next open meeting of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board is planned for June 24 (a Wednesday) at 10 a.m. eastern, the agency’s online schedule shows.

The meeting, with no agenda released yet, presumably will be presided over by Chairman Kyle Hauptman, a Republican and currently the only sitting board member since the April 2025 firings by the president of Democratic agency board members Todd Harper (also a former chairman) and Tanya Otsuka. The two have sued to regain their seats.

Hauptman’s term on the board expired Aug. 2, 2025, though he has continued to serve on the board in a holdover capacity. The president, meanwhile, has nominated John Crews, Treasury’s deputy assistant secretary for financial institutions policy, to an NCUA Board term that would continue through Aug. 2, 2031.

Hauptman has also been named to the board of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCOAB). The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced the appointment in January, noting that Hauptman will serve a term ending Oct. 24, 2029.
