Bank run risk, depositor behavior and more topics are sought for papers to be presented at June event

Depositor behavior, bank liquidity, and run risk in the banking system are among the topics for academic research papers being sought by the regulator of national banks which will be presented at an event set for next summer at agency headquarters.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said Friday that the deadline for submission is Jan. 15. Authors of Authors of selected papers will be notified by March 1 and will have the option of presenting their papers virtually, the agency said.

Selected papers will be presented to agency staff and invited academic and government researchers at OCC Headquarters in Washington, D.C., on June 5-7, the agency said.

“Submitted papers must represent original, unpublished research,” OCC said in a release. “Those interested in acting as a discussant may express their interest in doing so in their submission email.”
