State banking regulators to sit down with federal insurance fund counterparts to discuss coordination, other issues

Coordination between state and federal banking regulators will be on the agenda for a Wednesday meeting between state regulators and their counterparts from the federal bank deposit insurance agency, it was announced Monday.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) said it would convene a meeting of its advisory committee of state regulators. The meeting gets underway at 1 p.m. ET in the agency board’s meeting room (sixth floor, FDIC Building, 550 17th St. NW, Washington, D.C.), FDIC said. The meeting will be webcast live. FDIC Board Chairman Martin Gruenberg will offer opening and closing remarks.

Other agenda items for the meeting, FDIC said, include a discussion of economic and banking conditions, and a briefing on the Financial Institution Diversity Self-Assessment.
