Small-dollar lending chapter added to FDIC manual

A new chapter on small-dollar lending examination procedures has been added to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.’s (FDIC) Consumer Compliance Examination Manual (CEM), the agency said Friday.

The new chapter (V-17.1), the agency said, is to provide a framework for examiners when reviewing small-dollar loan programs.
