Acting comptroller gets face time with Netherlands queen to discuss financial health, inclusion

Rubbing elbows with royalty is apparently one of the perks of being acting comptroller of the currency, as the incumbent Wednesday met with the queen of the Netherlands to talk financial health and inclusion.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said Acting Comptroller Michael Hsu met with Queen Maxima – who also serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) – to discuss the OCC’s role in promoting financial health for consumers, including efforts related to overdrafts and cryptocurrencies.

The Dutch queen’s visit, the OCC said, is one of a series of meetings with U.S. and UN officials on financial health and inclusion.
