Exam council releases version 2021 of CRA data entry software

Version 2021 of the calendar year 2021 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) data entry software (DES) for data due March 1 of next year is now available, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) said Monday.

The exam council said the software for accessing the data must be installed locally on a hard disk. The software is not network compatible, the umbrella group said.

Minimum operating systems (OS) for the data is Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 SP2, or Windows 10, according to the exam council.

The DES – provided at no charge – is designed by the Federal Reserve, according to the exam council, to help banks automate the filing of CRA data. The agency has described the software as including “editing features to help verify and analyze the accuracy of the data.”
