A new version (2.0) of the “Retail Lending” booklet of the national bank regulator’s examination and supervision handbook was announced Thursday.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said this piece of the Comptroller’s Handbook discusses risks associated with retail lending and provides a framework for examiners’ evaluations of risk management activities.
The agency said it has rescinded OCC Bulletin 2017-15, “Retail Lending: New Comptroller’s Handbook Booklet”; and version 1.1 of the “Retail Lending” booklet of the handbook.
It said the new, version 2.0 of the booklet reflects changes to laws and regulations, and OCC issuances published and rescinded, since the booklet’s last update; and includes clarifying edits regarding supervisory guidance, sound risk management practices, and legal language.
