Updates to the filing instructions for Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data collected in 2022 – to be reported in 2023 – were released last week by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
The Filing Instructions Guide (FIG) is a technical resource for filers of HMDA data. The updates for the 2022 data include edits V720-2, V721-2, and Q657. Updates to the FIG and other HMDA tools and information can be found at https://ffiec.cfpb.gov.
