Credit union regulator slates August webinar on supplier diversity

A webinar to discuss the importance of supplier diversity, and how credit unions can implement a supplier diversity program, is scheduled later this month by the federal credit union regulatory agency, according to an email announcement Wednesday.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) webinar, “Supplier Diversity as a Business Practice: Where Do We Begin?” is slated for 2 p.m. Aug. 31 and set to last one hour.

The agency said the webinar will:

  • debunk the myths and biases keeping credit unions from starting supplier diversity programs;
  • distinguish between performative versus representational communications in supplier diversity;
  • describe what credit unions can do to begin supplier diversity programs; and
  • describe how to measure a credit union’s supplier diversity efforts and effectiveness.

Registration is open now, and questions can be submitted in advance to WebinarQuestions@ncua.gov. (Technical questions about accessing the event can be emailed to audience.support@on24.com.)
