Bank, credit union regulators to testify before Senate Banking next week

Three federal bank and credit union regulators are slated to testify next Tuesday before a Senate Banking Committee hearing, “Oversight of Regulators: Does our Financial System Work for Everyone?”

Those scheduled to testify include Todd Harper, chairman of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA); Jelena McWilliams, chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC); and Michael Hsu, acting comptroller at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). No Federal Reserve Board governor is currently on the witness list.

The hearing, viewable to the public via webcast only, is slated for 10 a.m. ET.
