Registration is open now for a fair lending and consumer compliance webinar slated Nov. 17 by the federal credit union regulator which will address consumer compliance examinations this year and next, among other things.
The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) said the webinar, “Fair Lending and Consumer Compliance Regulatory Update,” is slated for 3 p.m. ET and will last about one hour.
According to a release Tuesday, the Nov. 17 webinar will feature staff from the NCUA’s Office of Consumer Financial Protection discussing focus areas for consumer compliance exams in 2021, including a review of COVID-19-related loan modifications and credit reporting; fair lending policies and procedures; and findings from the 2020 consumer compliance exam reviews.
The agency said information presented in the webinar “reinforces the NCUA’s commitment to expand the availability of safe and affordable credit to meet the needs of diverse and underserved communities, which is a pillar of the agency’s financial inclusion initiative, ACCESS: Advancing Communities through Credit, Education, Stability, and Support.”
