Minority depository institutions advisory panel for OCC meets June 17

A public meeting of the Minority Depository Institutions Advisory Committee (MDIAC) of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will be held by remote means June 17, the OCC announced Friday.

The panel advises the OCC on steps the regulator may take to ensure the continued health and viability of minority depository institutions and other issues of concern to these institutions.

Agenda items June 17 will include current topics of interest to the industry. “The purpose of the meeting is for the MDIAC to advise the OCC on steps the agency may be able to take to ensure the continued health and viability of minority depository institutions and other issues of concern to minority depository institutions,” the agency said in a notice published in Friday’s Federal Register.

The June 17 meeting is set to begin at 10 a.m. ET. Members of the public may submit written statements to the MDIAC by email to MDIAC@OCC.treas.gov; written statements are due by 5 p.m. ET June 10.
