20th Annual Bank Research Conference postponed to 2021 due to coronavirus pandemic

A September bank research conference scheduled jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) Center for Financial Research and the Journal of Financial Services Research (JFSR) has been postponed until fall 2021 due to the risks posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, conference organizers announced Wednesday.

Previously scheduled to be held Sept. 10-12 at the L. William Seidman Center in Arlington, Va., this would have been the 20th Annual Bank Research Conference held jointly by the FDIC center and JFSR. A call for papers was issued in February.

The sponsors, in an email announcement of the postponement, thanked those who submitted materials. “We encourage you to continue your good work and hope you will submit your research to the conference next year,” they said.
