‘Economic inclusion’ advisory panel of FDIC meets Oct. 22

The federal bank deposit insurer’s Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion is slated to meet in open session Oct. 22 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m., according to a notice for the Federal Register, to discuss topics such as credit scoring, the mortgage market, and more.

The meeting, to be held at FDIC headquarters in Washington and webcast live, will focus on updates from the committee members about key challenges facing their communities or organizations, developments in credit scoring and underwriting, mortgage market updates, and sustainable transaction accounts progress, according to the notice.

The advisory committee is charged with providing advice and recommendations on initiatives to expand access to banking services by underserved populations.
