Fall sessions of advisory groups for minority-owned banks, mutual savings associations set

Meetings of advisory committees for minority-owned banks and thrifts, and mutual savings banks and associations, are being scheduled by the federal regulator of national banks, according to notices filed Friday.

According to the Federal Register notices scheduled for publication Monday, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is scheduling separate meetings of its Minority Depository Institutions and Mutual Savings Association Advisory Committees (MDIAC and MSAAC, respectively).

The MSAAC is set to meet Sept. 17 (at 8:30 a.m.) at OCC headquarters in Washington, D.C. The OCC only said the group will discuss “current topics of interest” to the mutual savings association industry.

The MDIAC will meet two days later (Sept. 19, also at 8:30 a.m.) at the same location; the OCC said the discussion topics will also be those of current “interest to the industry.”
