Financial technology (fintech), partnering with a fintech company, and new products and services will be among the topics under discussion during “innovation office hours” sponsored by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) Oct. 8-10 in Washington, D.C., the agency said Monday.
The OCC said the “office hours” are designed to promote responsible innovation in the federal banking system. During meetings (which will last no longer than one hour, the agency said), OCC staff will provide feedback and respond to questions.
However, a request for an office hours session must be made by Aug. 23, the OCC said. Requests should be accompanied by information on why the requester is interested in a meeting; specific meeting times and arrangements will be determined after the OCC receives and accepts the request, the agency said.
