Four named to committee advising on mutual savings bank regulation

Four bankers are now members of the Mutual Savings Association Advisory Committee (MSAAC) of the regulator of national banks, the agency announced Wednesday. They join five other current members of the committee.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said the four newest members of the committee are:

  • Ana Babiasz, President and Chief Executive Officer, Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan Association, Delaware, Ohio
  • Brian North, President and Chief Executive Officer, Fifth District Savings Bank, New Orleans, La.
  • Dennis Parente, President and Chief Executive Officer, Foxboro Federal Savings, Foxboro, Mass.
  • Annette Russell, President and Chief Executive Officer, Security Federal Savings Bank, Logansport, Ind.

The committee assesses regulatory changes or other steps the OCC may take affecting mutual savings institutions, the condition of the financial institutions, and other issues of concern to the savings banks.
