FDIC hosts webinar Feb. 19 on standardized export of imaged loan docs

A one-hour webinar on the standardized export of imaged loan documents initiative will be held from 2 – 3 p.m. ET on Feb. 19, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) said in a Financial Institution Letter (FIL) to supervised institutions Thursday.

The FDIC webinar will provide an update on the initiative, which was first introduced in an 2018 FDIC letter.

The FDIC, working in consultation with Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) members, developed the standardized export of imaged loan documents in an effort to streamline examination processes, reduce financial institution burden, and expand opportunities for conducting loan review examination activities offsite, according to Thursday’s letter.

The webinar, the agency says, will examine lessons learned from the testing period that concluded Dec. 31, 2018. It will also outline the potential benefits for financial institutions that implement this or other complementary solutions being considered to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of examination activities.

No registration is required to participate in the Feb. 19 webinar; a Q&A session is planned.
