Credit union agency to host HMDA, consumer compliance webinar Nov. 14

A webinar on 2018 regulatory relief law revisions to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and other consumer financial protection laws and regulations will be hosted for credit unions Nov. 14 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the agency announced Thursday.

The 2 p.m. webinar, expected to last 90 minutes, will cover amendments to HMDA and other statutes made by the 2018 Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (EGRRCPA, S. 2155), which was enacted May 24. The interpretive and procedural rule on the HMDA changes issued in August by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (BCFP, formerly known as CFPB) will also be discussed, the announcement says.

Online registration is open now. Registrants can submit questions in advance at ocfpccpo@ncua.gov. The email’s subject line should show the title of the webinar, “NCUA HMDA and Consumer Compliance Regulatory Update Webinar.” Technical questions about accessing the webinar should be emailed to audience.support@on24.com.
