Hensarling says Fed’s Quarles to testify Nov. 14; Senate appearance will be following day

Fed Vice Chairman for Supervision Randal Quarles gave his last semiannual testimony in April.

The House Financial Services Committee will hear testimony Nov. 14 from the Federal Reserve Board’s top supervision official during a hearing set to begin at 9 a.m. ET, according to an announcement Monday by committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas).

During the hearing, Federal Reserve Board Vice Chairman for Supervision Randal Quarles will give semiannual testimony on the Fed’s supervision and regulation of depository institution holding companies and other firms the Fed supervises, according to the announcement.

The Senate Banking Committee has scheduled a similar hearing the following day (at 10 a.m., an hour later than the House appearance a day later). Quarles gave his last semiannual testimony this April before both the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee.
