Quarles confirmed to 14-year term on Fed Board

The Senate, Tuesday on a vote of 66-33, confirmed Randal Quarles to a full, 14-year term as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. This term lasts through Jan. 31, 2032.

Quarles was first nominated to the Fed post in July 2017 and was renominated in January with others’ whose nominations expired without action last year. He was also confirmed by the Senate as vice chairman for supervision in October 2017; that appointment continues into October 2021.
