Graphic displays HMDA lending by financial institutions

A graphic that shows lending to white and minority borrowers, as reported by the Federal Reserve using 2016 Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data is ready for use.

The graphic draws from a Federal Reserve report (soon to be published in the Federal Register) which analyzes 2016 HMDA data reported Sept. 28 by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC).

Available in two versions — as still png, and an animated gif — the graphic displays the percentage of mortgage lending by financial institutions (banks, small and large; credit unions; and mortgage companies, affiliated and independent) to white (non-Hispanic) and minority borrowers in 2016.

Links for downloading either or both versions of the graphic are available below; the graphic is 600×441 px. (The Fed’s report on the HMDA data is linked at the bottom.)
