DC national banks, savings assns. may close on Inauguration day

National banks and savings associations in the District of Columbia may close (at their discretion) for the Presidential Inauguration on Friday (Jan. 20), the OCC proclaimed this week. The agency said it was taking the action because of “ceremonial events” associated with the presidential swearing-in.
