Andrew Moss has earned another promotion at the national bank regulator: in addition to several other, recent roles now he will be deputy comptroller for community and industry relations, beginning next month, the agency’s acting leader said Tuesday.
According to a release by Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Moss will oversee the division previously named Community Affairs, with “community development professionals located in Washington, D.C., and the OCC regions who provide expertise, guidance, and educational resources, and organize outreach on community development lending, services, investments, and related issues in support of the OCC’s mission.”
Moss will retain his role as acting chief of staff for Acting Comptroller of the Currency Rodney Hood, the agency noted.
In March, Moss was named director of external relations and strategic partnerships –a position he will also retain, the OCC said — where he directs the agency’s strategies in support of financial inclusion initiatives, including the agency’s financial inclusion program – dubbed Project REACh (Roundtable for Economic Access and Change).
Moss has also served as outreach and external relations manager; he held other leadership positions within the agency’s Office of Public Affairs, OCC said in the release. He joined OCC in 2014, the agency said.
